Supporting family members
When someone you love is struggling — or the whole family feels fractured. Support for carers, parents, and family members navigating difficult times.
Do you feel like you have been living with anxiety, depression, or overwhelm for years — managing the symptoms but never quite getting free? This is not quick-fix counselling. It is a safe space to steady the ground, understand what is underneath, and resolve it for good.
Tame Avenue, Wednesbury WS10 0RL · In-person & online
I am a wife, a mother of four, and someone who understands how demanding family life can be. For more than twenty-five years I have worked in education as a therapeutic mentor — supporting children, parents, and families through loss, change, anxiety, and conflict, with deep understanding of SEND needs, SEMH, and autism. That experience shapes how I work today: calmly, without judgement, and always with you at the centre.
I hold a BA (Hons) in Integrative Counselling, am BACP registered (00972506), and a member of the NCPS (NCS22-02212). I am currently working towards BACP accreditation — that process is in progress and not yet completed. Clients often tell me they feel at ease quickly — approachable and understanding — that the therapy room feels like a warm hug, and that they finally have space to be heard. Alongside counselling, I offer professional coaching for leaders and education professionals — forward-focused support for clarity, confidence, and sustainable performance.
When you work with Phoenix Renewed, you work with me — not a rotating team. That continuity matters, especially when you are sharing something deeply personal.
If you recognise yourself in any of these, counselling may be the next step — not to patch things over, but to understand what is underneath and recover properly.

Counselling with me is not a sticking plaster over the problem. We start by steadying the ground — then we gently unravel what is underneath, and work towards genuine resolution. Here is the complete journey:
First, we steady the ground. When everything feels overwhelming, you need to feel safe and held before going deeper. We focus on calming the noise so you can breathe again.
Then we explore what is really underneath — not just the symptoms, but the patterns, experiences, and beliefs that shaped them. We go at your pace, always.
Understanding why you feel as you do. New insight into yourself, your triggers, your coping responses — and why the same loops keep returning.
Working through what you uncover. Feeling it, making sense of it, letting it move — in a space where nothing is too much.
Finding your way forward with clarity. Not just surviving, but living with genuine freedom — because the root has been understood, not simply managed.
Some people need more time at one stage than another. That is expected — you set the pace throughout. Book a free consultation and we can talk about where you are now.
BACP-registered integrative counsellor · BA (Hons) Integrative Counselling
If life has knocked you off balance, you deserve more than a sticking plaster. You deserve a calm, non-judgemental space to talk — to steady the ground when things feel overwhelming, and then to gently unravel what is underneath and work towards real resolution.
For more than twenty-five years I have supported children, parents, and families through education and therapeutic work — including time with organisations such as Kaleidoscope and Murray Hall. The Phoenix symbolises renewal — at Phoenix Renewed, many clients find their footing again step by step, not by masking the problem but by understanding it.
I look forward to hearing from you,
Tash
Phoenix Renewed is growing thoughtfully. Here is what is on the horizon — you can register interest where applications are not yet open.
I am a BACP registered counsellor (00972506) and is working towards full BACP accreditation. That assessment is in progress and has not been completed to date — this page will be updated when accreditation is awarded.
In the near future, I expect to take on counselling clients under a supervisory role — for trainee or placement counsellors who need a qualified supervisor alongside their client work. Places are not open yet; register your interest and I will contact you when supervision starts.
The Black Country deserves counselling that feels human — not clinical. Here is what sets Phoenix apart when you are choosing where to turn.
Many approaches help you cope for now. I help you stabilise when things feel overwhelming, then gently work towards the root cause — so the same patterns do not keep returning. Not a sticking plaster; a safe space to understand and recover.
Every session is with me. You are not passed between practitioners or lost in a large centre — you build trust with the same person throughout.
Sessions take place in a calm, cosy therapy space in Wednesbury — a dedicated retreat away from everyday noise, with free parking nearby.
Long experience in education and family work means I understand parenting pressures, school issues, bereavement, and the ripple effects on everyone at home.
You set the pace. Person-centred warmth is at the heart of the work, with CBT, mindfulness, and solution-focused tools when they help — never a one-size-fits-all formula.
Clients often tell me I am easy to talk to and genuinely present — a calm space where you can be yourself without feeling judged.
BACP registered and NCPS membership mean professional standards and ethical practice. I am also working towards BACP accreditation — currently in progress.
A free 15-minute phone consultation lets you ask questions and see whether counselling feels right — with no pressure to book.
What makes my work different is the complete journey — not just the quick-hit stabilisation that helps you cope this week, but the longer path towards understanding and resolving what keeps pulling you back. Both matter. You need to feel safe before you can go deep — and you deserve more than managing symptoms forever.
My style is integrative: grounded in person-centred counselling — warm, non-judgemental, and led by you — with CBT, mindfulness, and solution-focused tools woven in when they help. I work affirmingly with neurodivergent clients, including many people exploring autism and ADHD. The therapy room is a safe space to be honest, to feel what you have been holding in, and to find the root cause — not simply to paper over it.
The core conditions I offer are:
Accepting and valuing you, without judgement, exactly as you are in each session.
Honesty and transparency in how I experience you and your world — a grounded, real presence.
Seeing your viewpoint as closely as I can — as if I were walking beside you in it.
Counselling is not about me fixing your life for you — it is about creating space to hear yourself clearly, unravel what has been driving the patterns, and find your own way forward with genuine freedom. I will not judge what you bring; you lead the session. See the full counselling journey for how stabilisation, root-cause work, learning, processing, and resolving fit together.
Every session is with me — not a rotating team. Choose the pathway that fits you; we can talk it through in your free consultation.
