Sandwich generation counselling
Caring for ageing parents whilst raising children — and often holding down a job — can leave you stretched beyond breaking point. The sandwich generation carries a unique kind of exhaustion, guilt, and invisibility. Counselling offers space to be heard, not just to keep coping.
Does this sound familiar?
- Are you pulled in every direction — ageing parents, children, partner, work — with no time left for you?
- Do you feel guilty for resenting the people you love most?
- Is everyone depending on you whilst you have no one to lean on?
- Are you managing your parents' health needs, your children's emotional needs, and your own silently?
- Do you wonder how long you can keep going before something gives?
What we can explore
- Exhaustion, overwhelm, and carer burnout.
- Guilt, resentment, and the pressure to be grateful.
- Sibling tension, family conflict, and feeling stuck in the middle.
- Grief — for your parents' decline, your own freedom, or the life you expected.
- Boundaries, self-care, and finding a way through that honours everyone including you.
What to expect
As a mother of four with twenty-five years supporting families, I understand the weight of caring from multiple directions. Sessions are warm, practical, and led by you — stabilising how you feel now, then working towards understanding what is driving the overwhelm. In person in Wednesbury (WS10) or online. £45 per session.
