Trauma counselling in Wednesbury
Trauma can stay with you long after the event has passed — in your body, your thoughts, your relationships, and your sense of safety. Counselling offers a calm, trauma-informed space to recover at your pace: steady the ground first, then gently understand what happened and find your way forward.
Does this sound familiar?
- Do certain sounds, places, or situations still trigger you — even years after what happened?
- Does your body feel on high alert, as though something bad might happen again?
- Have you been told to move on — but part of you is still stuck in what you went through?
- Do you feel disconnected, numb, or not quite yourself — as though you switched off to survive?
- Are nightmares, flashbacks, or intrusive memories still affecting your daily life?
- Has something from your past left you feeling broken — even when life looks fine on the outside?
What we can explore
- Processing difficult experiences safely — only when and how you are ready.
- Hypervigilance, anxiety, and feeling unsafe in your own body.
- Shame, guilt, and self-blame after what you have been through.
- Relationships, trust, and intimacy affected by trauma.
- Reconnecting with yourself — moving from surviving to genuinely living again.
What to expect
Trauma work is never rushed. We begin with stabilisation — helping you feel safe and held — before gently exploring root causes and working towards resolution. My approach is integrative and trauma-informed: person-centred warmth with practical tools when they help. You set the pace throughout; you will not be asked to relive anything before you are ready. In person in Wednesbury (WS10) or online across the Black Country. £45 per session.
