Counselling for education & public sector workers
Teachers, school staff, and public sector workers carry an enormous emotional load — often without space to talk about it. With more than twenty-five years in education as a therapeutic mentor — and deep understanding of SEND needs, SEMH, and autism — I understand the pressures from the inside. Counselling offers a confidential space away from work.
Does this sound familiar?
- Are you exhausted by the emotional weight of your job — but feel you cannot talk about it at work?
- Has teaching or public sector work left you burnt out, cynical, or questioning whether you can carry on?
- Do you absorb everyone else's problems and have nothing left for yourself at the end of the day?
- Are you managing difficult behaviour, SEND needs, safeguarding, or parental conflict whilst expected to stay professional?
- Do you love the work but hate what it is doing to your mental health?
What we can explore
- Burnout, overwhelm, and compassion fatigue.
- Stress, anxiety, and the pressure to hold everything together.
- Moral injury — doing your best in a system that feels impossible.
- Work-life balance, boundaries, and guilt about switching off.
- Identity beyond your job — who you are when you are not at work.
What to expect
Sessions are confidential, integrative, and led by you. I bring lived understanding of education and SEND settings — including work with organisations such as Kaleidoscope and Murray Hall — without blurring professional boundaries. In person in Wednesbury (WS10) or online across the Black Country.
