Family counselling in Wednesbury
Families go through seasons that test everyone — conflict at home, parenting pressure, partners who feel distant, or the ripple effects when one person is struggling. Family counselling offers a calm space to slow down, speak honestly, and find a way forward together — or individually, when that is what helps most.
Does this sound familiar?
- Are arguments at home going in circles — or ending in silence?
- Has parenting pressure or a child's needs put strain on your relationship?
- Do you feel like you are parenting on different pages — and the children are caught in the middle?
- Has trust, communication, or closeness broken down between you and your partner?
- Is everyone in the family affected by one person's struggles — and no one knows how to talk about it?
- Has grief, loss, or a major life change shifted the whole family dynamic?
What we can explore
- Communication breakdown — feeling unheard, misunderstood, or talked over.
- Conflict between parents, partners, siblings, or across generations.
- Parenting pressure, discipline disagreements, and supporting children through difficulty.
- Rebuilding trust and connection after a difficult period.
- Supporting the family when one member has SEMH needs, autism, or SEND-related challenges.
- Navigating change — separation, bereavement, new family structures, or life transitions.
How family counselling works
Family counselling is not one fixed format. Sometimes it helps to work with both partners together; sometimes with one parent individually; sometimes exploring how the whole family system is affected. We talk through what would be most useful before you commit. With twenty-five years supporting children, parents, and families in education — including deep understanding of SEND needs — I bring practical as well as emotional insight to family work.
